What is a space shuttle?

A space shuttle is nothing but a space craft which has been designed to transport people from Earth to a place around the Earth. The Space Shuttle can take satellites into space, and it can also bring them back to Earth for repair. Space travel was no longer limited to trained astronauts. Space Shuttle passengers can now include scientists, doctors and other people needed to conduct experiments in space.
