In the beginning the submarines used to work with the diesel power, later many disadvantages were identified during its usage. For Example, the exhaust of the gases was a big problem when the machine is under waters. The oxygen present in the cabin of the submarine used to be filled up with these exhaust gases making the people to suffocate and finally leading to death.
